Insulin Syringe Recall
The FDA has issued a nationwide recall of insulin syringes that have been mislabeled and could deliver 2.5 times the intended dose. These syringes were sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores and Sam’s Clubs under the ReliOn name from Aug. 1, 2008, until Oct. 8, 2008. The recall applies only to syringes with the lot number 813900.
If you suspect that you might have these syringes, you can return them to the store where you purchased them for a replacement. Or, you can contact ReliOn for more information.
