Not all blood sugar meters are the same. They vary in size, shape, memory capacity, size of blood sample needed and technology for uploading to your computer of doctor's office. What components do you look for when choosing a blood sugar meter? What features would you recommend and why?

glucometers

My father is legally blind. He is very independant at 86 and has difficulty reading LCD and placing blood on strips. Looking for an inexpensive talking meter so he can continue to do his own monitoring.

What I want in a glucose meter

Well I would love it to be smaller. My accuchek is gigantic!!!! I also want it to be unnoticable if I had to test somewhere there was a lot of people. Its embarrising otherwise.
